From Noah to Now

Lisa and Graziana are thrilled to be working in collaboration with the University of Hull and Hull Music Hub on a production of Benjamin Britten's opera Noyes Fludde. Written for both children and professional soloists, three schools from Hull and three schools from the Grimsby areas will be performing as our chorus of animals with musicians from across the city taking part as our orchestra and soloists with performances at Hull and Grimsby Minsters in March 2025.

This will form part of a greater project From Noah to Now exploring how the arts can be used to engage people across the region with the topic of flooding. There is also a historical aspect to this project, with the opera being based on the only medieval mystery play to ever be performed in Hull, and which was last performed as part of the 2017 City of Culture events line up.
